Remote Sensing Datasets

Access to a number of different types of satellite data are available from this page. These data fall into two categories:

  1. Direct Broadcast Data
    - satellite data collected and processed at OMEL
    - these data cover the west coast of the United States in near real time

  2. Regional Data over Study Areas
    - satellite data covering areas of interest around the globe
    - data are obtained from NASA, images are produced at OMEL
    - for ongoing projects, the images from these data are made available as soon as possible
